Birds produce mainly three types of alarms. One is a short distance alarm and is hard to pinpoint. An example is the hawk alarm of robins. The second type is a clear shriek of despair piercing sound. There are cases where snakes have been found dead, with their fangs buried deep in their own body. But, it is a mystery as to whether or not snakes are immune to their own venom. Some researchers conclude that snakes are immune to the effects of their own venom. Others declare that snakes are not immune to venom-their own, or another snake’s. they point out that when poisonous snakes fight, they do so by rearing up and ‘wrestling’ with each other, rather then that biting because they know they would be killed if they accidentally bit themselves.
