While many species of animals have become extinct, cockroaches have survived to this day. In fact, it is said that even a nuclear blast cannot destroy all of them! Amazingly, cockroaches can live a month without food, but only a week without water. What is more, a cockroach can live a week without a head, and it dies after a week due to lack of water!
Crocodile tears ?
When someone pretends to cry without feeling sad we say they are shedding ‘crocodile tear’. Do you know why this phrase is used? It is because when a crocodile looks as though it is crying, it is actually not crying at all. It is only getting rid of the excess salt in its body through its tear glands!

Did you know that there is a turtle that can climb trees? Well, though it may seem far fetched, the Chinese big headed turtle can do so! It has long claws and a long tail, and though it looks clumsy, it can scramble up a tree for safety if it feels that there is danger.
